Núcleo is the name I thought about when i was asked to name my design team in my 3rd year of University at EUDI (Escola Universitaria de Deseño Industrial) in Ferrol.
The design shows in strong and solid graphics, the simbolism of one shape, doubled and put against the first one as it was the Ying Yang but just the positive part of everything. Núcleo in spanish means nucleus, is the center of everything and even the most important part of every living thing. We believed in design as something alive, not just the way to interpretate stuff. We believed there is a reason to design for, a way to make people's life easier.
The similarities with a human heart are intended, we wanted to relate the warmth and the dinamism of that very very important muscle on our bodies.
The development of this Corporative Identity was easy to do but not the choosing part of the creative ideas between the team, we had so many good ones.
But finally we were so happy with this logo that we decided to make all the posibilities we could with it.
On the left is shown one of the first tests for the corporative business card, was discarded for its sharp edges on the triangles, which were too different from the soft corners of the logo itself.
